Dr. Loni Hodge
Hello! I am thrilled to be returning as the principal at Grantswood Community School. I have a passion for education and ensuring that we reach EVERY student where they are. I am a firm believer that parents and teachers should work together to address the needs of the child. When we work as a team the child wins every time!
I have been in education for 16 years. I spent the first 10 years as a high school science teacher & middle - high school Special Education teacher. I joined the Jefferson County School District in 2017 as the Assistant Principal at Gardendale Elementary School. I have also served as the principal at Johnson Elementary School in Pinson from 2019-2022.
My husband Justin and I have 3 awesome children - Hudson, Colton, & Marlee. We stay busy with their sports and extracurricular activities!
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year here at Grantswood Community!
