Mr. Rodney Ragland
Hello. My name is Rodney Ragland, principal of West Jefferson Elementary School. I have been in the education field for 24 years. I began my teaching career at Berry Middle School in Hoover, Alabama. I then joined the Jefcoed family and spent 10 years at Bragg Middle School, 2 years at North Jefferson Middle, and 4 years at Mortimer Jordan High before moving to the Central Office as an instructional coach. I served the last 2 years as an assistant principal at Corner High School. I am honored to begin my journey as a principal at WJES!
My wife, Brandie, and I have been married for 24 years. We have three children: Foster (20), Sydney (16), Bryson (11) and a dog named Obi. My wife and I have also served as children's pastors at ChristWay Church in Gardendale, Alabama for 24 years.
