I'd like to take this opportunity to say what a privilege it is to serve as principal at Corner Middle School! We serve the most amazing young people here at CMS and welcome those who move into our community to join us as a part of our school family. Our teachers have created one of the best instructional programs in our district and work hard each day to prepare our students for work at Corner High School and beyond!

For those who don't know me, I am an alumnus of Corner High School (Class of 1985). After high school, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communications from Samford University. From there, I went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (English/Language Arts). I taught English, theatre arts, and technology in Jefferson County from 1991 -2002.

In 2000, I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I have served as the assistant principal at Gresham Middle School and at Corner High School. In 2010, I was named principal at Corner School (K-8) when the new high school campus opened for grades 9-12.

It is our mission here at Corner Middle School to provide ALL of our students a first class, well-rounded, and innovative instructional program with ample extracurricular and co-curricular activities that are responsive to each student's needs. We will work daily to accomplish that goal!
