Our School

  • Established in 1972, Pinson Valley High School is Jefferson County High School located in Pinson, Alabama.  At Pinson Valley High School, we serve approximately 1050 students in grades 9-12. Our school offers many programs of instruction, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment, Fine Arts Academy, and many Career and Technical Education programs. In addition, our campus hosts the school district’s Newcomer Center for English as a Second Language students.  The school also has well-established programs for students with special needs, including a community-based work training program to gain employability skills, a self-contained special needs program, and a vibrant Special Olympics program. There are numerous sports teams for students to participate in, as well as extracurricular organizations, such as marching and concert band, color guard, dance line, concert choir, Future Business Leaders of America, Skills USA, Key Club, various honor societies, and many more.
