Community Eligibility Provision

  • Jefferson County offers no-cost breakfast and lunch to some schools, made possible by the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for sites that meet USDA requirements.

    What does this mean?

    • If your child attends a CEP school, breakfast and lunch are provided at no charge.
    • If your child does not attend a CEP school, you will need to complete an application for free/reduced lunches.  The application can be found online on the Child Nutrition Program webpage.
    • In the event after submitting your application, you do not receive approval for free or reduced benefits, the cost for student meals is $1.50 for Breakfast and $2.25 for Elementary or $2.50 for Middle/High School for Lunch.
