The role of the counselor in school is to prepare every student socially, academically and emotionally for present and future challenges. Students are provided with opportunities to gain an understanding of self and others and to participate in educational and occupational exploration in an environment that is safe, caring and encouraging. The school counseling program provides activities for all students K-5th grade to ensure that they have maximum opportunities for academic, career, and personal/social development.
