Hueytown High School first opened its doors in 1921. At that time it was one of six new high schools in the Jefferson County School System. The enrollment only consisted of 66 students. Today, Hueytown High School is located in a new, technology-rich campus building with an enrollment of over 1000 students. Hueytown High School continues a proud tradition of excellence in education and achievement for all of its students. Go Gophers!
